I was excited when we received SodaStream, the girls and Mr.Wrong were wildly excited. How cool is it to have your own soda machine at home? SUPER COOL! Since we are soda junkies in this house. Mr. Wrong and I put the SodaStream machine together in less than 5 minutes. It was fast to set up and simple. Our first Sodamix we made was the Ginger Ale and the first thing that came out of Mr.Wrongs mouth was "OH MY GOD this taste just like Ginger Ale". I took a sip and oh, boy was he right it was even better than the can Ginger Ale we buy at the store. The Drama Queen took her sip and ask me if she can take the SodaStream to her class for show and tell when she starts school. We even let her make her own diet lemonade. It was AMAZING!! Tasted better than the diet lemonade we buy at the store. I LOVE the fact that regular sodamix flavors contain less sugar, calories, carbohydrates and sodium than national drink brands, and they contain no high-fructose corn syrup. Diet flavors bottle of concentrated sodamix makes the equivalent of 12 liters (33 cans) of soda! Diet flavors are sweetened with Splenda

The Fountain Jet Seltzer is also small and does not take a lot of my counter space. I have said good bye to all the carrying, space taking, plastic and can bottle wasting soda in the store and say hello to the SodaStream. That is easy to store, no need to carry heavy soda cans or plastic bottles no more or worry about the space.
SodaStream doesn't only make soda they also make my favorite Energy Drink. I am a Energy Drink junkie. But who will not be one running around 3 wild children all day. I personally like SodaStream Energy Drink a lot more than Red Bull.
| SodaStream: Better than recycling How Does SodaStream Help the Environment?
SodaStream is an "Active Green" product, meaning that consumers are actively reducing their CO2 footprint every time they make soda or sparkling water at home instead of buying it from the store. The more the system is used on a daily basis, the more CO2 footprint the user actively saves. (This differs from "Passive Green" products, which use green-friendly production processes, but their products are not inherently helping the consumers save on their daily footprint.)
Because SodaStream uses water straight from the tap, the system makes traditional store-bought beverage bottles obsolete. That means less plastic manufactured, less plastic waste is created, and fewer bottled beverages must be transported from manufacturers to distributors to stores to homes.
Globally, 206 billion liters of bottled water were consumed in 2008 (Zenith International Global Bottled Water Report, 2008). The energy required to make water bottles in the US only, is equivalent to 17 million barrels of oil (Container Recycling Institute, 2002).
According to the US Recycling Institute, more than 80% of bottles in the US do not get recycled and end up in landfills. Also, an estimated 4.7 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions were produced in the process of replacing the 134 billion bottles and cans not recycled in 2005.
Using your own home carbonation system means:
One SodaStream carbonator makes 60 or 110 liters, equivalent to 170 or 310 aluminum cans! When empty, the carbonator is refilled and reused, ready to make more fizzy and tasty soda whenever you want it.
